Hi,

I’m a nineteen-year-old gap year student who, back in the hazy month of September, decided to travel to Mongolia.

For six weeks in the months of March and April, I will be living in an apartment in Mongolia’s capital, Ulaanbaatar, with my host family of two sisters. Monday to Friday I will be writing articles for the ‘Mongol Messenger’, one of two main English-language newspapers in Mongolia. At the weekends, I will be free to visit the wild and rugged Mongolian countryside, or the UB karaoke bars, whichever is more thrilling.

On this blog I will write about my trip in general, about the places I visit, the experiences I have, the things I learn. I hope you enjoy reading it.
